David Brinkworth & The Pit Confirmed For Hoo-Hah Conspiracy Steampunk Cabaret !

May 4, 2018

We have the great pleasure in announcing that David and his extraordinary songs will also be sharing the bill with Sylvia Sceptre and Jonathan Markwood's Hoo-Hah Conspiracy. What a splendid night it will be !

Introducing David Brinkworth & The Pit

David Brinkworth first came to the public’s notice through an appearance on The Channel Four show, Embarrassing Bodies. This was followed a year or so later by his appearance on Animals do the Funniest Things. Delving deep into his history it appears Mr Brinkworth as a young man, was found by Aubrey S Peterson a procurer of the strange and the exotic, he was then persuaded to perform as a specimen of biological significance and monstrosity for The Clive Jenkin’s Touring Circus, where he performed self-written songs to astounded audiences all over Europe.

However after a number of years it appears Mr Brinkworth became weary of the circus life, today he leads his imaginary Band “The Pit”, and performs his own brand of music hall / vaudeville to appreciative audiences singing songs that capture aspects of human life in all its beauty and ugliness.

- Liverpool Sound & Vision 8.5/10

'Absolutely brilliant !'

Adam Crowther

BBC Music Introducing

'Track after track of catchy tunes...If you are a fan of Bowie or Talking Heads or Peter Gabriel, 10cc or George Martin's work with the Beatles, then this album will be a perfect addition to your collection.'

Krimson Collective Magazine

'Soaring choruses...a festival treat...off kilter, edgy with mainstream feel of Dodgy, Squeeze, Beck & Eels. We owe Hoo-Hah Conspiracy a big thank you for their trouble’
