Sylvia Sceptre The Merrily Macabre Magician To Appear in Hoo-Hah Steampunk Cabaret !

May 2, 2018

Life is a Cabaret…

We are delighted to announce that the incredible magician Sylvia Sceptre will be appearing alongside Jonathan's Hoo-Hah Conspiracy on June 21 at The Pour House !

Sylvia Sceptre’s magic is Downtown Abbey meets Alice in Wonderland via The Others. Sylvia’s merrily macabre magic is both intriguing and spellbinding. She tips a graceful nod to the eccentricity of the Victorian era and performs theatrical thought reading, mesmerism, spirit theatre and visual magic.

Audiences will be laughing and shivering in equal measure !

They Say...

“Mesmerising and enchanting…all eyes on!” - Dr Todd Landman  Professor of Political Science, University of Nottingham

“Her warmth, sense of fun and talent made for a very special evening!”

 Colleen Ewart, Norwich.

"Sylvia Sceptre is an impeccable performer; her elegant take on magic is refreshingly original. In a business awash with stale presentations, her sophisticated delivery engages and beguiles”

Fiona Maher,   Event organiser.

“Delightful, enchanting… work is inspired and with such presentation too, it is a symbiosis of fantasy and bewildered head scratching!”

Shaun T. Hunter, Captain of the Lost Waves.

'Absolutely brilliant !'

Adam Crowther

BBC Music Introducing

'Track after track of catchy tunes...If you are a fan of Bowie or Talking Heads or Peter Gabriel, 10cc or George Martin's work with the Beatles, then this album will be a perfect addition to your collection.'

Krimson Collective Magazine

'Soaring choruses...a festival kilter, edgy with mainstream feel of Dodgy, Squeeze, Beck & Eels. We owe Hoo-Hah Conspiracy a big thank you for their trouble’
